It’s been said, “If only we didn’t have to work with people, things would work.” That’s the heart of the problem; the reason work is difficult and challenging is because it requires people working together. Business is founded on this. The more skillful an organization is at it, the more profitable it is.
Healthy organizations are loaded with good teams, formal and informal, working effectively together. The common denominator is that their accomplishments far surpass the capabilities of their individual members – members who put aside their personal agendas and shared a common purpose. In short, they get involved and are committed to something bigger than themselves. Every organization has dedicated, intelligent and adept people. The challenge is putting them together and having them work successfully as a team.
PHASE IV Partners works with businesses to create teams that put aside interdepartmental squabbles and distracting business and personal issues to ensure maximum productivity. Right from the inception of a team, we assist with the important process of selecting members, being fully aware of the issues of expertise, political influence and the ability to work collaboratively. Then, in consulting to the group itself, we establish ground rules to handle conflict, decision-making, strategic planning, measures of success, etc., being mindful of both the process and content of the team’s mission.
